Christmas Cards

15 months!

I took Declan to the doctor last week for his 15 month appt. and thought I would share his stats.

Weight: 24.4 lbs (50th percentile)
Height: 32.5 inches (90th percentile)
Head circumference: I can't remember the exact number but it was in the 80th percentile which is nice that his head and body are averaging out finally.  ha ha!

Some of his favorite things and stuff he is doing right now are:

*loves to stack anything from blocks, to tupperware, books, washcloths, etc.
*loves to clap for himself
*points at what he wants or where he wants to go
*shakes his head yes and no
*if you ask him where his belly button is he lifts his shirt and grabs his stomach.
*carries everything with his thumbs-his water bottle, our shoes, etc.  He has some tough thumbs!
*likes to put things in a certain order then rearrange it and start the process all over again.
*he is a pretty picky little eater lately.  He lives off of pb&j, mac and cheese, grapes, apples, pizza, and pancakes.
*he runs around like crazy.  I can't believe how much energy he has!
*he's starting to climb all over things.
*folds his arms when we pray
*loves Christmas trees!
*says mama, dada, hi, bye, no, and yeah
*talks all day long in his own language! :)
*his first molar popped through sometime this week.  Let the teething begin again!

One of my absolute favorite websites is Shutterfly.com.  Have you guys ever used it?  It’s great!  I’ve made a couple of photo books like these http://www.shutterfly.com/photo-books  and they always turn out great.  If you’re like me, you don’t like to have a bunch of prints lying around the house.  That’s why I was so excited when my friend showed me some of the photo books she has made.  Plus, the website isn’t complicated and very easy to use.  Everytime I’ve ordered something they arrive quickly and in really good shape.

Pumpkin Photoshoot

I took some pictures of Declan today with our jack-o-lanter's and I just had to share some.  I was so excited that he kept his cute hat on that my friend, Rachel, made for him.  And yes, he is trying to eat the candle.  Enjoy!

This is a wreath I made out of candy corn earlier this month.  I put it on our front door and a few days later we came home from church and about half of the candy corn was missing.  We have a lot of kids in our apartment complex and I guess they got hungry!  ha ha.  So I fixed it and it's been hanging on our coat closet door.

Eyelashes and Curly Hair

Declan is obsessed with my eyelashes.  At least once a day he gets this look in his eye and walks really slowly up to my face and sticks his finger up to my eyelashes.  He thinks it's hilarious when I pull my head back so he doesn't poke my eye out.  It has become quite the game for him, but he's not a fan when I try to do it back to him!  ha ha.  Zach and I both have really long eyelashes and Declan's are probably longer than both of ours.  Anyway, yesterday Zach and Declan were on our bed and all of the sudden Declan got that look in his eye and Zach got to experience the poking of eyelashes!

After the eyelash experience Declan decided Zach had some pretty cool hair and wanted to play with that also!  Poor Zach was trying to study for boards but Declan wouldn't let him.  He kept picking up the highlighters and pens Zach was using to study and tried to get them to stick in Zach's hair.  It was hilarious!  Anytime Zach would try to lift his head up Declan would immediately grab his hair and push his head back down so he could continue to play.  He did this for about a half hour and probably would have kept going but I bribed him with a sucker so Zach could finally study!
