Yep, I'm still pregnant...

I went to the doctor yesterday where she told me that I was still only dilated to a 2 and had a 50/50 chance of having to have a c-section if they induced me on the 7th. After much thought and prayer, Zach and I decided to give him a little more time to come on his own. So, if I don't have him by Tuesday the 11th I will be induced that day at 4 AM. So, that's the update! Sorry if I haven't answered the phone when you call or replied to text messages. I'm running a little low on texts and minutes and would like to have plenty available for when he does come! :)

39 Weeks

As of yesterday I only have seven days to go until my due date! I wasn't really looking forward to going to the doctor since my last four appointments have consisted of them telling me I am not dilated in the slightest and that they weren't sure if his head was down or not. However, yesterday ended up being a little more eventful! My doctor said I am dilated to a 2! I know it's not much but it's better than hearing, "your cervix is completely closed..." She wasn't 100% positive that his head was down so she decided to have an ultrasound done. It was so fun to be able to see him again! Plus, his head is down so no scheduling a C-section for me! So, if I don't go into labor on my own I am being induced on August 7th. I am really hoping that he will feel the need to come out before then because I would rather not be induced but we will see! Here's some pictures from the ultrasound. The tech kept trying to get him to move his hand out of his face but he refused! Oh and she guessed at how much he weighs right now by measuring his abdomen and femur...7lbs 15oz. I really hope she was over-estimating!

4th of July

Three posts in one day, this is definitely a record and something that will probably never happen again! We both had the day off Friday so we spent it getting the most of the baby items we need. I don't feel as stressed out now and am beginning to realize that this is actually happening in a matter of weeks! On the 4th we started out the day by going to our ward's delicious pancake breakfast and then having a BBQ at a friend's house later. We ended the night by going to Germantown (a little suburb of Memphis) and watching their fireworks show. It wasn't very sunny yesterday but it was so humid! We're all glistening in these pictures! :)

Paula Deen!

Last Friday I surprised Zach with a day trip to Tunica, Mississippi. It turned out to be a lot of fun even though Zach was mad for the first 45 minutes of the drive because I wouldn't tell him where we were going. He hates surprises and pictures, therefore we don't have any pictures of our little getaway. We started off by going to the Tunica River Park Museum which was actually pretty interesting. They had a lot of cool displays and information about the Mississippi River. There was also a nature trail that we walked even though it was 100* outside. After that we decided to hit up the outlet mall, but that was just too much walking outside also! We ended the evening by eating at the Paula Deen buffet inside Harrah's casino.

The restaurant is designed like her home so you walk in through her porch and there are different rooms to dine in. It can hold 560 people!
I have never seen so much fried food in my life! We spent 2.5 hours there tasting everything that we could! They also have seafood on Friday and Saturday so Zach was able to try some of that out. It was hilarious watching him try and eat crab legs! :)
We're not big fans of Southern food but it was fun to try everything out that we haven't had a chance or desire to yet! We figured we paid for all the food, we might as well try everything. Overall, it was quite the experience and we left feeling extremely full!
