We just went to this barbecue with all the first year students today. Afterwards we went to the Mud Island River Park. Mud Island is in the middle of the Mississippi. The park has a huge scaled model of the Mississippi that shows all the topography, cities along it, and other rivers that run into it. It's large enough to wade in! Kids love it! You can also see the monorail that we rode across the river.
